What a kind thought!
Unfortunately, (re this event), I shall be back at our place in Spain.

Thank you for thinking of me folks.

Just checking my cellar, there is no need for duplicates..

I have plenty of Rebello Valente and Offley, and a few bottles of Gould Campbell, amongst others..

My attendance is confirmed. What am I bringing? Am I still adopting AHB's Noval?

THRA is bringing Quinta do Noval, but has others available for adoption. I’m hoping that you choose to adopt his Gould Campbell.

Just to clarifiy: This tasting is still on - unfortunately without EDN, who has to attend a tasting with his importer.

There appear to be seats still available and Tom has already offered either the Offley or the Rebello Valente for adoption. Drop Tom an email or a PM to organise something.

Are the shippers on the placemats just organised alphabetically? I'm surprised, and, if I'm honest, even a little disappointed. I had thought a more complex relational theme would be employed.

Please could we be told about who will be bringing pre-decanted, and what bottles will need my attention. I have my W66, and will decant it at about lunchtime. Who has AP’s D66? How are other bottles arriving?

Having done a search for 1966 VPs not on the list of 9 above, and within striking distance of my lodging in London, it appears that there is nothing available. If adoption is available, it would be quite nice to spend the evening with everyone, but I have not heard back on the subject.

Sounds like Tom has Rebello Valente or Offley available.. if he's contactable.. I did hear from him today but I get the impression he is very busy with his pub project...

Indeed - a multitude of learning curves that runs from kitchen ventilation requirements, via listed building consent rules, the cost of solid oak floorboards through to how new urinals are fixed to the wall..

Bottles I bring will all be pre-decanted as usual. I think the Offley and Rebello Valente are still available for adoption.

For Josh’s adoption RV has been picked by me — of course subject to JES and THRA announcing otherwise.

Coming decanted: F (by IDJ); G and GC and N and RV (by THRA); S (by DRT); W (by JDAW).
As yet unstated: D (AP’s); Ni (EDN’s); T (AHB’s).

So decanting duties will be slight. And nine people is few enough not to pre-pour. Easy peasy lemon squeasy.

(Post edited to include pre-decanting announcements below.)
