Has the Bung Hole been booked? Has the Bung Hole been told how many glasses will be needed?

Edit: Bung Hole called; 200 glasses booked.

’60 versus ’63: placemats updated

Post by jdaw1 »

Updated draft of the placemats. Multiple images in first post.
  • Wolfgang Starz removed, as not attending in person. But, if I have understood correctly, he is expecting sample bottles of everything. Somebody must bring sample bottles.
Who is to print?

1) May I add a non-drinker to join us? (otherwise I'm leaving my wife alone, and I'd prefer to bring her along).
2) How are bottles being sorted out? Is there a flat cost for the wine per drinker for the evening (and could someone let me know what it is) so that I come prepared?
All -- My apologies, I need to bow out of this tasting. The downside of being in London on business means that sometimes it takes precedence, such as in the case of this Wednesday. I still look forward to seeing many of you at the other tastings this week (66 tomorrow, & BFT on thurs) and at Crazy8's the following week.

The current set of Ports to be shown is {Dow, Fonseca, Graham, Niepoort, Quinta do Noval, Sandeman, Taylor, Warre} × {1960, 1963}. If that list is definitive, and not about to have additions nor subtractions, then I’ll make the TN threads.

I can print. Is decanting still happening at Rob's place? And what does that mean for arrival time of juice to TBH? I hope to be able to get to TBH for about 1745. I should be able to drop off printed material before then if required. Someone pls advise.

EDIT: I've just remembered it will be blind, so decanter mats and labels are needed beforehand...still happy to print if needed and someone can come and grab them from me at the office (other end of Holborn from TBH).

If construction of decanter labels will be necessary to maintain blindness — as I expect to be so — then time for this should be allowed.

I'm also happy to print, and may be easier given the decanting at mine.

CMWB (right-handed) will also be attending, and using a spare set of placemats if too late to change!

Slightly modified blinding plan.

Team decants into properly labelled decanters.
