Thanks Wolfgang.

Tom - could I adopt please. I'd like you to add the Cockburn to the list of bottles being adopted by the group. I still hope to find a good one of these one day, but don't decant it before travelling to the Bung Hole. I'll filter it when it arrives and hope the lack of exposure to the air holds back the development of any TCA. Thanks.

Also, I would vote against including the 1983 Nacional. While fun to try, it is not good value for money.
Are you suggesting we replace Taylor with Cockburn?
No. You copied and pasted before I edited to reflect Wolfgang's post.
Apologies. All is well with the world. Except I'm listening to over 29 (the 5-ball over) and KP will be out in just a few balls' time.

You like it too! Well I learned at the feet of a master after all. And of course the best bit of learning is when you have to move away from your teacher and strike out, make your own way...

Ha. I have used a Mac for over 20 years. Too late for me now.. (And before that, obviously, it was a ZX Spectrum..)

In April 2011 the results of a survey on this very topic, conducted by Hunch asked users to identify themselves as a Mac or PC person, and then questioned them about a number of self-identifying factors. The results were comically stereotypical. Among the findings were that Mac users were more likely to be liberal, eat hummus and read The New York Times. PC users, on the other hand, were more conservative, had a better grasp on mathematical concepts, and, unlike their Mac counterparts, would rather ride a Harley than a Vespa [source: [source: Hunch].
Nuff said, you hummus-eating Vespa rider!

To those of us who recall the days of steam computing, this comes as little surprise.

PCs were really useless at managing graphics in their early days, so when Macs came along with the ability to efficiently manage images without taking an age to do so, all those of an artistic disposition jumped ship.

And until Mr Gates found his philanthropic side, his shameless pursuit of personal wealth got up the noses of many on the left of the political spectrum.

Why is it though, after all the stratospheric increases in memory and processing capacity in PCs, I still find myself staring at an hourglass for just as long, and having to reboot just as often, as I did 15 years ago?

The ZX Spectrum wasn't as political as that.

This is an essential question. My current laptop is much, much faster than the one I had until last year. I edited long films on that machine; all I do on this one is make PowerPoint documents. And yet it is ten times slower.

Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

Will you be looking for a volunteer to print? I would be able to print on Tuesday, but may well be late since I will have to commute into London for the tasting.

Would it simplify transport to print in London? Google knows of places in Holborn.

Gents,

I will be leaving Sheffield at around 3pm and will then be at the mercy of the M1. Please start without me and I will try to get the Real Vinicola to you as soon as humanly possible.
