My flights are now booked and bottles will be winging their way to Belfast later today.

Splendid.

DRT’s package includes, or at least should include, a bottle for me.

"confirmed" meaning they are in your hands?

The slip on my doorstep, when I got in about an hour ago, said that they are at the post office around the corner. Update follows first thing tomorrow.

Excellent. Posted at 14:00 on Thursday 10th Oct using "48hr Guaranteed Parcelforce" with first attempted delivery at some point on Tuesday 15th October.

Perhaps the Posties were all out spending their free £300 profit they made on their shares?

Ah but we're not on the mainland sir. That'll be extra. And it won't be guaranteed. Except to go missing...

Bottles have arrived, are intact, and are standing up in my cellar.

Sadly chaps, I will be absent. As sometimes happens with parcels being sent through a network, instead of being delivered to Belfast it appears that I will be delivered to Amsterdam instead.

Pity, as you are sure to have a great time. Give Nick my regards.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

Same here. Although I am presently in Kerry enjoying lots of Port with my parents, I have to be in the Rheingau for the Rheingau Open this day, a famous wine presentation of all VDP Wines at Schloss Johannisburg. We are visiting Robert Weil and then continue for the event.

We definitely have to think about organising something around this festival next year as it is another brilliant sweet wine festival in Germany.

Please give best regards to Nick.
