The Great British Beer Festival

Post by jdaw1 »

In 2013 the Great British Beer Festival is at Kensington Olympia, from Tuesday 13th until Saturday 17th August. On Tuesday the doors open at 5pm; Wednesday Thursday Friday start at noon; and Saturday at 11am.

Will any TPFers be attending, and on which days?

Before kids, this was an annual event for me. Normally on the Thursday afternoon and evening, when the bands could be quite entertaining. Memories include Chas and Dave and a Madness tribute act!

Fond memories, but not 2013 for me.

I will be making my annual appearance at the gbbf (I go back to when it was held in Brighton in the late 80s). I'll certainly be there on the Saturday but probably on the Tuesday as well.

Sadly I do not have time; hence I will not attend.

Despite the plentiful choices of cider, I doubt that I shall attend. I seem to be booked in Bracknell all the coming week.

Giving all an early heads up that this year's GBBF takes place at Olympia from Tues 12 August to Sat 16 August. As per usual I'm intending going on the Tuesday (less crowded and all the beers are on). Anyone else going?

I asked my life coach whether or not I am allowed to attend and it appears the answer is no.

This year's GBBF starts next Tues (11 August) at Olympia and again I will be making my annual pilgrimage on this day and thus upholding an unblemished record stretching back to 1988. If anyone else is going and wishes to meet up then let me know (am planning to be there from 6.30pm).

The tall handsome chap at stand B1 is drinking Butford Organics' very dry cider.

Reportedly, he is now having a half of something less dry, from Barcombe.

Observers report that the tall and broad handsome chap in the blue striped formal shirt is at bar B20 drinking Perry.
