Anglo-Irish Crisis *Now Wed 24 July* [NOT Mon 22]

Post by djewesbury »

There is potential for an Anglo-Irish crisis on WEDNESDAY [EDIT: the calendar is very fluid at the moment; Monday I'm at Rheingold]. This is subject to a number of planets being aligned and variables being assigned. Were it to materialise it might be the case that it would occur in a venue other than TBH (for the sake of variation). Perhaps a bottle bought over the counter in El Vino. Perhaps whisky. Perhaps beer. Perhaps in central London, perhaps south of the river. Then again perhaps the crisis might not materialise after all.

If the crisis were suddenly to become unavoidable, even at shortish notice, who might be on hand to confront it?

Unfortunately next Monday looks unlikely for me.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

Original post edited. This crisis now looks likely to loom on Wednesday 24th.

No chance for me tonight I'm afraid, though I think from here that the crisis may have been partially or wholly averted, even if this remains unresolved.

I will have a glass of Port this afternoon to celebrate a crisis being avoided. I suggest that you all do the same. Otherwise we might have another crisis on our hands.
