Derek's portion is, or rather was, slightly more peppery than mine, but the pastry slightly more perfectly soft.

Derek would have enjoyed it.

For those who have been worrying that I might have starved to death, I am happy to confirm that I arrived in time to eat around 25% of the most excellent source of vitamin P that I have ever encountered. Well done Daniel.

Daniel - what were the two bottles that you brought? I have in my notes that one of them was the Fonseca Guimaraens 2000...but that doesn't exist. 2000 was a full Fonseca vintage.

You're right, I allowed a mistake in my notes to creep into my description of the bottle - it was indeed F00. Apologies.
I have been informed by the pig's family that they are very, very proud.
