If objecting, speak soon, as DRT delivering bottles to me tomorrow.
No objection from me. Who will contribute which bottle(s)?
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

Mostly from posts in this thread we have the following ready availabilities.

â—Š JDAW: F85 (stored chez RAYC);
â—Š DJ; adopting;
â—Š DRT: G83 T83 D85 F85 & T85;
â—Š THRA: all;
â—Š PW: F83 D83 G85;
â—Š AHB: all except T85.

So:
• JDAW: F85;
• PW: F83 D83;
• DRT, AHB, THRA: agree amongst yourselves a preferred division of G83 T83 D85 G85 T85, each being held by at least two of you.

There will be a slight financial rebalancing on the night.

Objections?

I feel a little guilty at arriving empty-handed for my first offline. If you would like me to procure something please let me know, as I said I'm only arriving back the day before but I'm sure I can find a good bottle of one of the above without too much difficulty, and co-ordinate regarding decanting..

No need to feel guilty. What I believe jdaw1 is saying above is that those who are bringing more than their fair share will be compensated by those who are not. Something fair always happens :wink:

No need to feel guilty in the slightest. On the other hand, *if* (and only if) you were already going to Weingalarie (you previously mentioned you might be dropping in there) and had room to purchase an extra bottle, I would love a bottle of Kopke Colheita 1984 (€45) - and could then swap you for one of the F83/D83 pair which I will be bringing. No worries if this doesn't work for you, just a thought in case.

You won’t be ‟empty-handed”, as you will be bringing appropriate folding portraits of Her Majesty.

Phil's suggestion seems very sensible, if JDAW, keeper of the Queen's pictures, thinks that this doesn't throw out the reckoning too much..

I might have a +1, whose costs will be covered by me and whose contribution would be one of my two bottles.

I will confirm next week.

If it is thought that this might cause a Port deficit I am happy to put all three of my available bottles in if we decide to extend to one more shipper. Perhaps Warre?

My guest has confirmed his attendance.

Do we now need to include Warre?

As previously stated, my three bottles are now in if the line-up is to be expanded.

Seven people need ten bottles. We have already agreed on the Dow & Graham & Taylor & Fonseca. Next up, Warre or Smith Woodhouse? (Reminder: Croft didn’t fully declare ’83, preferring ’82. And the Novals from that period are miserable.)

(DRT: details needed of +1.)

Very sorry to say that all the 1984 Kopke has sold out! And I never thought to ask if you had a second choice.. If something else strikes you, let me know, I may be back that way on Saturday and may still have room for one in the check-in bag..

Eight people.

Derek has a guest and will be thirsty that evening, so will be bringing G83 T83 D85 (all of which are chez moi: suggest decant times). My F85 is at The Bung Hole I could phone at lunch and ask them to decant it. PW is bringing F83 & D83. AHB & THRA have agreed to bring G85 T85. So that’s {G, T, F, D}×{’83, ’85} done.

We have an international Warre crisis. Tom: can you please cope?

Updated draft of the placemats.
