AHB wrote:I request that we relocate our meeting on Feb 26. After Helen had advised us that TBH could not accommodate us on Feb 15, I booked a table at Davy's at Canary Wharf, which is managed by Ian Wright - the former manager of The Crusting Pipe back in the days when it welcomed regulars and was run by a man who loved his port.
We are now booked for Davy's at Canary Wharf, a table for 5-7 from 6:30 (but Ian is happy if some of us arrive a little early).

The address is 31-35 Canary Wharf, Fisherman’s Walk E14 4DH.

And Ian is really excited about seeing us again. He's rearranging his shifts so that he can be there when we visit. Can you believe that it's 5 years since he went to Brazil...

Perhaps this is a good opportunity for a toast.

Is anyone going to be there early? I could probably be there somewhere between 5.30 and 6PM and wouldn't mind a pre-port beer.

Updated draft of placemats.
  • First post says The Bung Hole, but that’s being ignored and replaced with Davy's at Canary Wharf.

No fancy fonts? Looks fine to me, unfortunately I can't print anything.

I'll print, but won't be arriving until shortly before 6:30pm since I will be catching the 5pm train from Bracknell.

In which case I’ll print.

Separately I have started a review thread.

I wish you'd said so earlier. These took ages to parse and tied up my shared printer for half an hour or so.

By the by, I am full of cold and sneezing uncontrollably - you might want to sit me out of the way and away from others.
