a fine northern bitter?

Post by jdaw1 »

Alan, you fiend. You’ve talked me into it. Post collecting from airport, post doing whatever has to be done, do you have a good local? Selling a fine northern bitter? Please?

I'm sure we'll manage.

Do you want pretend quaint, civilised, Northern, or brutal, rough and edgey Northern? The beers the same, but the customers and atmosphere are different. I'd suggest the first, leave the second to Alan Bennett to describe!

Alan and Jdaw, the pressure you have exerted is too much to bear. Which pub are we meeting in?

Get to my house, bed in, and then walk either 300yards in one direction, or 500 yards in another. Maybe one in each, just to keep the anticipation going?

Which pubs?

Post by jdaw1 »

OK. I’m failing to put a map and a list together in a manner that identifies the pubs.

And should the last few posts be moved to the thread about the tasting?

If its all getting moved...I'll carry on. Press the 'Hybrid' option on the map. The arrow is perfectly right for the house. Then look at where it says, Millbrook Lane. Thats the Seven Stars. Then look at where Church Lane hits Millfields, thats The Griffin.

The Griffin is the one I previously linked as having rooms.

I managed to move these posts to Organising Offlines but have no facility to append them to the main Offline #2 thread

Just to simplify the life of those unfortunates employed as historians of the web in centuries to come, this thread started here.

Jdaw1,

Did you check the Hybrid Map? Do you think you can handle that short walk after your invigourating kip? :D
