Err, seriously tho -- ordering is fine, and if you'd like us to bring some food with us, I'm happy to cook or prep in advance for quick-cook.
i make a real good chicken gizzard actually.

ok I have class in the morning but I'll see what I can find.

so the consensus amongst our fellow port nuts is my place?

I confirm. Also, if G-Man decides to cook and if I am not teaching that afternoon, I am glad to arrive earlier to help cook. I think G-Man wrote something about wanting to bake cakes.

Ronnie & Lady Roots are confirmed.

Cooking? Ordering in? All is fine with us. We can always see if we find a good cheese shop somewhere and bring some!

Any chance you are passing through grand central? There's a Murrays there, that's where I usually get cheeses :)

We're doing this one as straight-up cost-splitting, if you can confirm you'll be #10 the tasting will be officially full. There's a chart (above) for how the costs get split based on #s.

recap

Location: g-man's apartment.

Food: We'll sort something out.

Starting with Julian's Forced Buyer #s (assuming his higher price for the Taylor48) and adding in $80 for Taylor85 I come out with a total of $1801. (Julian FYI: WS total would have been $2360).

$1801, divided up amongst people:
7: $257
8: $225
9: $200
10: $180 (Venue max capacity)

Current attendees

Please confirm people:

1. JDAW;
2. RMW = RonnieRoots;
3. MDK = Lady Roots;
4. CE = Carl;
5. ED = Eric;
6. JHG = Jeff;
7. JES = Josh;
8. JB = John;
9. MW = TBird.
10. DD = differentDave

Note: did anyone acutally pick up the Taylor 80$? I can pick it up if no

11 ports with 10 guest would suggest 110 glasses. Of which julian only has 32.

Would any other fellow port tasters wish to pick up a few standard tasting glasses?

While I could afford such, I have no room in my apartment to fit such.

Jay said that he would loan us his two boxes. Does somebody have a set of eleven, not necessarily the same as the other glasses, that could be used?

I am happy to loan my two boxes (71 glasses in total). Someone should pick these up before the day of the tasting so that the "cardboard" stink can be washed off.

Thank you Jay for your kind offer.

Julian, if you picked them up from jay's place, before the day of.

since I'm goign to be in manhattan that morning

I could bring the car in and drive you back to my place around 1:30-2:00pm so you wouldn't have to lug the bottles.

I do need to go shopping for groceries tho to get some food going for the day.
