Saturday 5/23 9pmEST Virtual tasting for folks state side

Post by g-man »

Or if anybody is awake they are more than welcome to join.

Being in NY has been a bit stressful to say the least, including trying to figure out how to make a living =)

But if anybody is around for a virtual offline I'd certainly be up for popping a btl or two.

Theme will be, open anything you want but we expect a proper tasting note over the virtual meeting!

Logistics of shipping around bottles from NY are a bit trouble some right now but once they settle in, I'd be happy to open a btl and ship around some in containers.

I have a paid zoom account and can host!

If reverse blind, so you’re guessing each other’s, I can make a guessing sheet.

And do send a PM to New York tasters.

a great idea for a future tasting, but I've probably killed so many of my taste buds drinking straight up gin that I am personally way out of practice!

I'm unlikely to be awake when you start, and you're likely to have finished by the time I wake — but it would be great to have a transatlantic Zoom tasting with the East Coast. We've managed to get Glenn and Andy on one or two of the ones we've organised from the UK; maybe we need to target the East Coast guys on the next one.

I'd love to join you guys in London but no one seems to do friday tastings!

I think my cellar is deep enough that i can partake in quite a few of these too =P

It’s true, Friday night tends to be family night for the folks in the UK. But if you proposed a Friday 2pm EST / 7pm BST on-line social tasting, you might get some takers. I would be up for that (so long as it’s not Friday 29 May - I’m already busy!)
