I'm headed downstairs to prepare now... I need to set up my netbook (which has the only working camera), so I may be a little bit late.

Thank you Mike, it was good to be able to catch up with people again - although it was a lot more difficult to keep up with conversations with so many people participating!

A big thank you. Wonderful to see old faces and new ones as well. Though there was many of us and obviously not as “normal” as an In person gathering, it meant a lot to step away from world events and meet/interact will fellow Port lovers. So thank you all!!!

Thank you for a wonderful event! It was great seeing old friends and meeting new ones. Sorry I had to bow out early, but I had work to get back to. But I returned rejuvenated and fortified for the rest of the week!

I should like to add my profuse thanks to Mike, Simon (the official scorekeeper) and indeed all participants for the wonderful welcome afforded to me as well as the most laughter I have for a month.

Well done on arrangements again Mike. I am already looking forward to the next one. As a returning officer who was blessed by a whole bottle including the angel’s share... combined with 15 people on Zoom chaos... all means i just need to find out (anyone?) what Andy’s bottle was and then I can total and post the scoring. I think the chat and banter element is much more fun than the reverse blind guessing and scoring, but whatever is required to be at the next one is fine by me.

Great to meet Will (what a way to pop a TPF cherry!), and also to see Justin, Glenn and Andy for the first time after reading so many of their posts. And also wonderful to have Oscar join the madness for a while. I very much enjoyed my 2011 Quevedo LBV drunk in his honour. A very lovely port with approx 30+ years left.

Finally good to share some port with some friendly faces in these strange times. Take care all and keep fortified!

Did anyone save the transcript from the chat channel? I neglected to keep my own TN for the Quevedo 40. :(

Thanks Mike and Simon, it was such a good night of port drinking and cheese eating. I had originally thought I’d be done and dusted at 9.00pm after a hard day in the garden and then realised it was after 11.00pm! I also enjoyed the post port discussion on Chateau Musar, being a fan sine the late 80’s. Beats all the flights train journey etc. that I’ve done to London for tastings. Just had to clean up and climb the stairs and then a lie in next morning; is this what it’s going to be like when I retire?

So there is the scoring sheet. Congrats to Alex for a high scoring 11 points. Charles’ T85 was unsurprisingly had the most correct guesses and there was a couple of bottles that didn’t get any correct guesses. A great spread of different ports and more than a few that I wish I had had the opportunity to have tried rather than consumed virtually. I must apologise to Andy for not always capturing his guess. Being a surprise guess led to me not being able to compute on occasions... that or most the bottle of white enjoyed the hour before the tasting and then my full bodied Quevedo LBV 2011.
All very good fun, and I echo Justin’s comment about the late Musar chat. Really good to learn some more about this yummy wine and get the tasting experience of Neil (I hope we can share a bottle or two of Moose and Port soon).
When is the next one?🍷

I claim 2 more points as I was the first to guess that AHB2 was a Quevedo 30 Year White before I had to leave!

Well done, Alex! 11 points is pretty remarkable given the range of Ports that we were drinking!
