Dublin - 6th March 08
AHB and I, and possibly one other, are meeting at the St Stephen's Green Hotel on the evening of 6th March to have dinner and a few glasses of port. The current line-up is Ramos Pinto 1994 and Vesuvio 1997.
If anyone happens to be in Dublin that evening they are welcome to join us and bring along a bottle.

I'm not sure - but my Mum got a medal from the Pope last year for her services to the community and fund-raising - do you think that would get me in the door?Conky wrote:Derek,
Does the Chesterfield British Legion has such reciprocal arrangements?

Unfortunately not - I will be in Mexico instead!Axel P wrote:Alex: will you be in Munich March 31st by chance?
My next confirmed overnight stay in Munich is likely to be June 9, 10 and 11 although it is very likely that I will need to visit before that - but I may not need to stay overnight.

Now that would be fun - an Offline in Old Meheeco - ADV and Jay P could pop over the border on a couple of old Mules and we could all sit around a camp fire eating beans and drinking port. Blazing Saddles eat your heart outAHB wrote: Unfortunately not - I will be in Mexico instead!

PS: I believe it is good practice to fart to the right as you pass the decanter to the left on these occassions

You didn't fall asleep in your meeting.Derek T. wrote:I did that in my meeting in Dublin, in the taxi, at the airport, on the flight home and in a traffic jam on the M1AHB wrote: fell asleep at the airport

Luckily, I had a room 2 floors down from the people I was working with so they couldn't see just how hard it was to work through the papers that they gave me to review and discuss. Two hours and 4 trips to Starbucks later and I was able to hold a coherent conversation.
Thank goodness I told them that I had a conference call at 8am and so had to reorganise our original meeting.
