I'm asking Mrs W. to update the placemats. If too late — if already printed — please say so.

Ah, ok, it's the easy questions first...

Taylor 1963 (Justerini & Brooks bottling)
Smith Woodhouse 1977 (Magnum)
Niepoort 1970 (dumpy bottle)
Cockburn 1967 (Joanna bottling)
Warre 1960 (Bottled by Grants of St James's - blue wax capsule)
Fonseca 1985 (ex-cellars circa 2010)
Ferreira 1963 (square-shouldered bottle)

I’ve been corrected, you should be voting for wine of the night before guessing what the wines are.

Primal Chaos reigns once again!

As we have not yet guessed the Ports I can only use the names of the contributors to vote for WOTN:

3 points to idj123
2 points to AHB
1 point to DaveRL

Honourable mention to Uncle Tom.

The general conclusion of the people sitting round the table was that the monkey needed to get out more - perhaps to a port tasting!

The wines were:
Offley Boa Vista 1970
Niepoort 1983
Offley 1980
Sandeman 1979 (Wine Society bottling)
The Warre 1960 was Delaforce 1977
Vesuvio 1995
Fonseca Guimaraens 1968

Monkey claims 2 points for 1970+Niepoort+Warre+Fonseca.

There are bonus points available to anyone at the annex tasting who can guess which Port Monkey is drinking.

My publicist says that this is my best picture and has asked whether or not it could appear in The Book, preferably as the Frontispiece and signed by the author?

Ah, back to the traditional "one quiz at a time" question. The monkey is clearly drinking Graham Crusted 2013 recently purchased from Sainsbury.

Graham - correct
Crusted 2013 - wrong
Sainsbury - wrong, but not far away

Given Monkey's birth it really should be Stone Terraces, though I think someone would be tightening his head band if he s trying to open those this soon...
