2017s on Tue 21st May 2019 at the B&F

Post by jdaw1 »

We don’t know how the 2017 vintage will be. Perhaps it will be useful collection of single-quinta declarations. Perhaps it will join the illustrious list of all-time greats: 1851, 1878, 1896, 1912, 1927, 1970, 2011, and then 2017 (YMMV). We don’t know.

But we should test.

People: who is available for a tasting of 2017 on Tuesday 21st May 2019 at the Boot & Flogger?

Shippers: please make available to us a bottle of your declarations, and cask samples of likely declarations. Of course, important matters have not yet been decided, but if you could give advance notice of a willingness to sell us bottles (750ml please, as we’ll likely be fourteen), that advance notice would be much welcomed. Thank you.

Arrangements, as and when made, will be in the next two posts.

I ought to think about placemats. Is this still happening on the 21st of May 2019?

Yes, this was changed to 25th June. May was too early for many shippers to be ready to send samples.

Instead, I have stolen this date for a casual dinner and drink. Anyone who wants to come to the casual evening should post in this thread
