Ramos Pinto please, and thank you for the casting vote. I have drunk the Niepoort 1963 (and it is very nice) but never tasted the RP 63

As I thought, or at least hoped, the rib-eye is 28-day. The non-steak is nothing to do with me.

With great regret I have to withdraw from this tasting. I have an event that evening and think it impossible I could be there before 9pm so I need to do the sensible thing and withdraw from what I am sure will be one of the greatest tastings. Very disappointed but I am sure a replacement will be found, and I hope the port is as lovely as I imagine!

For me please:
Cornish crab salad with ciabatta toasts
Rare Rib eye steak (240g aged for 28 days) with hand cut chips
Green beans with shallots

I’ll drop my bottle off in advance. Unfortunately on this occasion I can’t help with decanting as I only land at LCY around 6.20pm so wasn’t get to the B&F until about 7.30.

Splendid. Bringing what?

I'm struggling to get people to post about what will be pre-delivered. So, instead, please could everybody bring their bottle predecanted, and we'll do last moment pre-pouring.

You posted the change of instructions just in time. I was planning to drop off tomorrow and Tuesday. I might still do so as I would otherwise have to bring 3 bottles with me.

Consistent with above, I believe you should be bringing Dow and Mackenzie.

I confirm I'll bring Dow and Mackenzie. I'll drop them off at the B&F tomorrow night and allow them to settle for a couple of weeks.

Nearer the time I can ask the B&F staff to pull the corks and to decant. If I can, I'll ask for these two bottles to get the Audouze treatment to make Wolfgang happy.

I plan to drop Warre and Graham off tomorrow at B&F. Unfortunately I can't offer to help much but can be there by 17.30 if that helps with setting up. If needed I will ask B&F to decant post lunch.

Am not currently expecting to be in London prior to the 10th, so will bring the Fonseca pre-decanted on the day.

So far Iʼm decanting seven: Mk; D; G; W; T; Ni; RP.

Please could those bringing pre-decanted bottles arrive by 17:45, to allow time for pre-pouring.

Axel: please confirm that Wolfgang G is adopting your Niepoort.

My faith in bar staff not muddling things is imperfect: I say we do everything.

If the appropriate opportunity arises then I will drop off my bottles at the B&F but like Phil, I'm not currently due in London before this tasting and therefore they will likely arrive pre-decanted.

Foodwise, Truffle mac and cheese followed by Steak (medium-rare) with skinny chrips and green beans.

Thanks.

I'll drop the Croft off on Monday the 9th and ask the B&F to decant Tuesday just before lunch.
