I am afraid that if the NN is included then KMH and I will have to withdraw on the grounds of cost....sorry . :(

I'm also happy with the NN inclusion either way.

Then I’d like to change my vote and now also vote against the inclusion of the NN. I don’t want anyone to be excluded from a tasting on the grounds of cost. There will be other times when we can drink NN63.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

I am in the "Will play" camp, but the preceding posts by Cookie and AHB make me think this is not the time to include the NN63.

I Agree
Me too, Port should be inclusive and this suggestion was mooted after the start of the thread. That being said, can't help feeling a pang of disappointment. We need to keep this 'another time' alive!

Would the group prefer me to bring Niepoort or Ramos Pinto. Alex would have the casting vote for being born in this year if needed.

I slightly favour the Niepoort, but would happily give way to a passionate opinion.

Kate and I would like to thank you all for your consideration regarding the NN’63...I share Ian’s disappointment but as you appreciate with Kate’s adoption plus travel plus food and then the NN x2 contribution it would make this tasting beyond justification...especially as New Zealand is sooo expensive!...and no Port to drink!

Based on what I (think I) know, assignments of who-bringing-what could be as follows.

Cá: IDJ
Ck: WPS
Cn: DRT from THRA
Cr: MPM
D: SCD from AHB
F: PW
G: CPR
Mk: AHB
Mz: KMH from AHB
Ni: AP
N: THRA
O: IDJ (thank you for bringing two)
S: RLC
T: JDAW
W: DRL from CPR

Is that OK? Dissent or disagreement?

Draft of the placemats added to first post.

Indeed. But doesn't that mean we have an obvious gap? 🙄
