Summer Thirst, Wednesday 9th August 2017

Post by flash_uk »

Seems like a long way to the next scheduled tasting. Anyone in and around London on Wednesday 9 August for an informal get together at the usual place? Bring a bottle - hopefully we have enough people to book the Green Room rather than the Sauna Room upstairs...

Where: The Green Room, The Boot & Flogger 10-20 Redcross Way, SE1 1TA
When: 18:30 on Wednesday 9th August 2017
What: Bring a bottle to share (blind)

People

  7. JDAW;

The date works for me. It's in my diary.

The thought makes me thirsty. I shall start another thread to see if we can get together any earlier.

Splendid - Green Room at the B&F is booked. I'll ask for food pre-orders shortly, to minimise the admin on the evening.

Simple theme of bring a bottle blind.

Noted, and top post updated. That takes us to 8 persons which is max for the Green Room. If we had a sudden rush for more attendees I can inquire about the Red Room. Or would it make sense to just go for the Red Room if it is available?

I'd stick with the green room for the moment, but enquire if the red room is available.

I've gone out on a limb. No idea what came over me. Expect I'll regret it.

Parma ham with melon, burrata mozzarella and fig dressing
Roasted sea bass with basil and fennel whipped mash, tomato and olive dressing
Side of Broccoli with lemon, almonds and chilli

This should all be OK for me according to the menu but please could a note asking for it to be Gluten Free be added (they will take extra care if they know).

Thanks
