Look for another venue capable of hosting us for lunch and dinner and keep all 25 ports in the line up but with a longer break between flights (likely to increase cost by circa £75 per person)

Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

My preference was top favourite, then middle, and last last.

But I wholly agree that this was too many for one session, and that older is more interesting.

Agreed albeit with one caveat-prospective cost. Whilst I would love to try the fabled 31, I fear that the cost (even sub-divided) could prove prohibitive.

Have voted - I think option 3 is close to an impossibility at this stage and given that 13 Dec is Christmas party season.

Voted for 2 (but thinking maybe more like 20/21 ports rather than 25). Can easily live with option 1.

I prefer options 1 and 3, though am ok with 2 or indeed the un-stated fourth option of the full list from 6-11pm, on the grounds of bringing tasting bottles for some, but getting to taste them all at the same time. Of the stated options, I'd prefer the two session approach, but see little value in two sessions so close as 5-7/8-11 compared with our default of 6-11 with dinner at 7/7.30.

FOUL!

Surely a house of the stature of Noval merits at least 40 bottles?

Come on chaps, step up

This is happening when you are not imposing your influence! It all started when you had to give up your seat. Sad that you cannot make it.

You changed! I cannot belive JDAW is saying something like this! You becoming soft!

But after pushing through the Vesuvio tasting I also agree we need to limit the number of ports for an evening session of 15 ports. However I also think Noval would have deserved a 40bt showing on a Saturday in which we could have started moderately at 3:00PM either with two sessions or just one big one. Also this would have given you the opportunity to refresh yourself with DRT at 8:00PM with beer etc..
