That's why Tony chose that specific date.

Where do you want me to send the Coc 67 to? Since there will be postage involved, I would rather have a UK-based person bring this to reduce overall cost. Otherwise I will send this.

If the election were then forecast to be close, it is possible that I would need to be in the office and sober. Happily, present polls have that risk as distant.

First page updated with list of confirmed attendees. I'll double check who is bringing what next week - if there is a problem let me know I probably have a few spares. I'll check all is still OK with B&F next week.
I need to find an excuse to drop off my bottles.....

Apologies, but I don't have the Butler Nephew '67. This was a fit of enthusiasm that carried me away with it - I've never owned any Butler Nephew 1967.

And to confirm, the Quinta do Noval 1967 bottle I am contributing is at the B&F.

Yes, but which LBV will you wash it with?

Quite happy not to include them - we do have enough. It's just that they were lying around gathering dust....

I think it would be great to have an LBV alongside a Colheita, a Crusted and then the VPs as a full 67 celebratory tasting.

I will bow to JDAW's etiquette in these matters but I have assumed VPs first as this is the main subject of business.

Not sure how the glass situation works out at B&F but as the Colehitas can be served straight from the bottle I was going to leave them aside for a free pour after the hard work is done.

I would suggest asking for the additional glasses; if they are able to be provided, it would be nice to be able to have a "flight" of the colheitas towards the end (re-washed glasses being an option). If we already have enough VP + col. then I don't mind either way whether the LBVs are included or not; they may be interesting, being unusually old LBVs, though given the producers my hopes would be limited; they would well end up gathering dust in the glass, instead of on the bottle, though they might also surprise (but I'm not saying whether in a good or bad way!).

Tony - if you've not asked the B&F for the glasses we'll need, it would be good to do so soon so they can check what thy have in stock and what they might need to get in temporarily.

And they usually appreciate a food pre-order if we're a large group. I'd suggest you check on May 10th if the menu is changing for June and then start to collate food orders.

Thanks for the advice.
I was going to use the 10th to confirm arrangements with B&F and then circulate menus etc.

That works. My experience is that it is easiest to confirm arrangements when the place is quiet and the staff have the chance to take some time to work through things with you. If you're not able to get there early(ish) on the 10th then it might be better to drop them an email with what you want and ask if you can have a chat about your email when you arrive at 6pm.

Given that 8th June is election night, is anyone else planning to spend the night in London and stay up to the wee hours to watch the results as they come in? If so, I'll try to hunt out a venue we could move to after the B&F closes.
