The only adoptee I can offer to add to the list (without broaching an owc) is the Noval. This went through a really awkward phase, but my most recent notes (10/13, 8/16, 10/17) show a clear pattern of improvement
Thank you. Noval accepted. Please message me the cost.

Draft of placemats updated. Somebody please check Ports and Names and everything else.

Gents,

Might I suggest that we have a protocol with this tasting, that every bottle must be decanted at least 24hrs ahead of time?

My recent notes suggest that 24hr if not 48hr decants are advisable with this vintage..

@ uncle tom - my apologies, I have not clarified sufficiently that this is indeed the request. I shall amend the first post to request decanting by 1830 on Sunday.

Hello all, I have talked to the B&F today and they will let us have our standard food order rather than having to order from the rather less steak-led Christmas menu. I have checked the standard food order and a standard food order exists for everyone attending except CMAG and NickA.

@ CMAG )
@ NickA ) Please let me know what you would like by PM and I will file it on Wednesday afternoon.

Everything except the fact that the GC91 is currently residing in the B&F and so the decanting presents a challenge.

However, I shall attempt to find a solution.
Top Ports in 2019 (so far): Cockburn 1947 and Quinta do Noval Nacional 2017
2018 Ports of the year: São Leonardo 1927 White Port (Bottled 2018), Quinta do Noval Nacional 1994

Food order submitted, taking into account recent requests to change standard food orders; no standard food order exists for NickA and CMAG, so I have indicated to the B&F on their behalf simply that there will likely be some desire on their part for some steak.

If the list of Ports is settled, then:
• Somebody please check the placemats;
• I’ll make the TN threads.

Is it?

I believe the list of ports to be settled. I have checked the placemats, thank you, and believe the file to be correct. I have printed the file (the placemats on A3, everything else on A4). I am not quite sure what to do with the pages past the 'corks' pages but someone will no doubt explain to me on the night.

I have updated the food order to include CMAG (cornish crab salad starter no longer on menu, indicative replacement is crayfish starter).

I much look forward to seeing again those of you I have met before, to meeting those who I have not met, and to trying lots of what I hope will be rather good ports.

@ CPR1 - very sorry to hear you are not well

@ all - if anyone can get hold of Chris Doty to tell him to turn up, I will decant the G, which I have immediately to hand, now.

G now opened, in the hope that someone will have a Doty equivalent of the batfone.

Do you want the placemats regenerated to credit GEAG/CSD with the Graham?

@ Chris Doty: as it is you will get CPR1's standard food order [truffle mac & cheese; rib-eye steak (black and blue) + green beans with shallots + hand cut chips]. Please let me know if you would like this amending and I will drop them a note.

Thank you - my order is: wild mushrooms on toast, five cheeses (the five of seven offered that are pasturised) and a side of chips. Many thanks again for organizing!

@Chris Doty, I have notified B&F that you are replacing CPR1, but, my apologies, I cannot find online the menu that features either of the above so have not notified your food choices. It may be that I am looking in the wrong place, but point me to it tomorrow and I will update them then.
