1967 Quinta do Noval

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Deep red, mature but still with plenty of youth; 70%. Wonderful nose, full of sweet flowers and soft nutmeg biscuits. Lovely palate presence, big and rich flavours balanced by perfect levels of sweetened acidity; still some soft tannins giving a dry edge to the flavours. Great depth and complexity. A soft candied touch to the aftertaste, then a big, long finish of great duration. Really fine winter port - deep and concentrated with a great complexity. Very fine. 94/100. Drunk 03-Dec-14. Decanted 1 hour.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
