1985 Graham's Vintage Port

Here are my 2 cents from Nov 2004:
Tasted this port blind and paired with some very nice portugese cheeses around a fireplace at Quinta de Malvedos. The port was decanted for 5 hours.

A bit closed in the nose, but it does show some dried red fruit, anise and wet leather tones. Complex and elegant taste of ripe dried cherries, milk chocolate, anise and plums at the end pallet. A hint of VA at the finish, but this blows away after some time. Fresh in style with firm tannins, still some young characteristics.

At this moment the VA is no problem and it even gives the port an interesting dimension. Don't know how this will develop.
