NV Churchill Reserve Ruby

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

A ruby reserve. Deep red with black tones in colour and with a medium rim. Heather and sous bois mixed in with sweet black cherry on the nose, the heather slightly jarring. Nice freshness on the palate with beautiful fine-grained tannins. Nice sweet black cherry fruit, a little jammy but with plenty of acidity to stop it from becoming cloying. Sweet heat on the aftertaste before a lovely honey and black cherry finish of good length. A very easy to drink Ruby Reserve. 87/100. Opened 27-May-20. Tasted after decanting for 2 days.
