Tasted at a friend's recent birthday, and not a wine I'd had the chance to taste before. Guessed to be a lesser-house '97 when initially tasted blind, this port seems to appear older than its true age. Believed to have been well stored, the wine is perhaps ~50% opaque, medium red with a brown edge; fruit is soft, smooth and enjoyable with no trace of awkward teenage phase. Overall pleasant drinking now, perhaps unlikely to improve significantly nor be a long lasting wine.
