Very deep colouring, almost purple, mostly opaque. Spirity nose with strawberries and some blackcurrant. Plenty of fruit on the palate, heavy on the plum but complimented by some lighter red berries. Spicy pepper and some smooth tannins with eucalyptus and liquorice provide a reasonable but not spectacular finish. It is a little rough around the edges but still enjoyable.
This was opened 21st December and was initially fairly closed and unimpressive but is now much better. Rather good.
