1985 Taylor
A deep rich garnet, 50% opaque. Sweet spice (star anise?) and a hint of mint on the nose. Full rich palate with notes of cranberry and more spice. Long, delicious, warming fruity finish, only a hint of the Taylor heat. A fine bottle of a very good port. The usual remarks were made around the table about this still being a baby (most of those present were ages 55-75) but on this showing 'ready to drink, but will keep'. Consumed 23/10/19.
