1968 Quinta do Noval Colheita

Post by winesecretary »

A remarkable full rich amber colour. Wonderful length and depth. Try it if you can! Tasted blind, I was not wholly sure what it was (Maury Mas Amiel from the 1970s or 1980s? Very old fine Moscatel de Setubal?). But, I was sure that it was extremely good. The #2 WOTN.

The sales platform on wineowners.com is currently listing a six bottle (in bond) case of this for £875.

It's been on sale for a few months, so the seller might be open to offers?

And just to clarify, I'm not the seller.

I'm not the seller either but would caution against jumping in on these old Noval colheitas without knowing the bottling date. Quite a few that I have tried with a decade or so in bottle have been cloudy and lacking the freshness you get from a recent bottling. Not something to buy blind in my opinion.
