2011 Quevedo

Post by g-man »

Opened 24 hours and left in open decanter.

On initial open, notes of eucalyptus, wintermint on the nose. Tastes of strong notes of wintermint gum but then alot of fruit just overwhelms the palate.

24 hours after.

This smells like young vintage port! Lovely plums, earthen spices/freshly ground allspice, backed with notes of sarsaparilla. The flavor shows notes of lovely purple fruits blended together beautifully with some dark milk chocolate and lingers with a cocoa powder note that seems to go on for almost 2 minutes.

Absolutely fun to drink 24 hours later.

96 now.
