Deep red but with a transparent centre. Soft fruit on the nose, full of summer fruits like raspberries and blackcurrants. Slightly aggressive entry, balanced on the mid-palate with plenty of ripe fruit and nice grippy tannins. Sweet fruit dominates the finish with lingering tannins that are ripe and well toasted that combine to give a hint of the cinnamon which will appear in the years to come. Lovely port, pleasant without being a blockbuster. 89-91.
Tasted 12 September 2018.

Cr16 Between the Taylor's and Fonseca in colour. Med/deep ruby with very slight purple tinge. Red and black fruit showing on the nose and palate. A bit thinner and lighter than the Taylor's/Fonseca but very pleasant with a medium length finish.

80% opacity, dull red. Plummy nose. Smooth entry, flabby, little backbone. Medium tannins towards the finish, bit spiritous, not much of a finish. I thought this Port to be towards the bottom of the pecking order on the night.
