Decanted 20 hours. Alex deployed the magnum trick - this was a magnum split and played as two blind 75cl bottles. Here are both my notes for the same wine!

75% opacity, dark red-purple. Dark fruits and spices on the nose. Chewy, chocolate, tannic, stewey.

75% opacity, dark red. Jammy red fruit on the nose. Chewy, peppery, chocolate, tannic and bitterness in the finish.

The notes were quite similar, and on the night in my head I considered the possibility they were bottles from a magnum but somehow decided they were not. No idea why, having re-read my notes!
