1970 Warre

Post by jdaw1 »

Alex was in town. Obvious consequences followed, for he, Julian, Charles, and Mike.

W70, from AHB. Dark red, 35% opaque. Mid weight, dry cherries, soft, and very very long. Starting to dry out, just starting, MPM noting “dusty”. Still very lovely, and rightly WOTN, but no longer lush.

50% opacity, red-brown. Nose of rich Christmas cake and dusty cherries. Mid weight, gentle heat and acidity, dusty cherries, slightly dry.
