1897 Graham

Post by jdaw1 »

An ‘Eights’ tasting, to be the second or fourth digit of the vintage, arranged by Tony, who provided many of the bottles including an 1867. And Alex provided Graham 1897.

G1897, half of a magnum, decanted 06:30. Clear, orange, 20% opaque. Palate long and fresh, dry and acidic. Then sweetness, which reminded me of a yellow opal fruit. Far too faded for my palate, but still alive.

15% opacity, amber, clear. Fresh lively nose, toffee. Silky entry, full mouthfeel, heat and some acidity mid to late palate. Super long aftertaste, leathery/beefy.
