The Port offering in the BA Galleries Lounge (South) at Heathrow Terminal 5.
Deep red colour with a magenta-toned rim; opaque. Fresh bramble fruit on the nose, touched with some attractive flower perfume. Sweet bramble on impact, but balanced by a refined acidity. A hint of tannin shows on the mid-palate where several more layers of flavour and a lot more acidity show through. Hot aftertaste from the acidity, before a fabulous youthful bramble finish takes hold, merges with a touch of dark chocolate and lingers on for ages. A really pleasant ruby reserve port. 89/100. Tasted 20-Mar-2018. Decant not known.
