F63, decated 17:30. Red-red-pink, 40% opaque. Nose of cherry and aniseed. Palate, early to late, full of an Indian spice, with good sweetness and strawberry. Another very fine mature Port.

Are the 1963s coming into their second wind?

The F63 improved throughout the evening which indicates the port should have been opened and decanted much earlier. Aside the quite closed up and therefore restrained mouthfeel the excellent structure, complexity and flavor profile shows through. Ripe Cherry and spice flavors that make the port very attractive and taste wise fantastic. Development of long finish and velvety mouthfeel towards the end of the evening.
