With enough time to allow the port to develop and show its full potential, this revealed itself to be a fragrant, fruit dominated port that fully captures the delicacy and finesse of the fruit from this vintage — yet combines this with powerful acidity that promises a long life and fine grained tannins that will support the fruit for a decade or two. Lovely black chocolate and dark cherry smother the long finish. A great port from an unusual vintage. 92-94/100.
