Really not showing well after 1 hour in the decanter; much improved after 2 but really noot hitting its stride until after 3 hours in the decanter.

Mature rose red colour with only a little bricking evident; 60% opaque. Cedar and cinnamon infused fruit on the nose, smelling lovely and mature. Smooth entry, at first a little restrained but rapidly picks up flavour and becomes lively and vivacious on the mid-palate. The spice and fruit comes through, but the fruit shows lovely tertiary tones of leather and dried cranberry. Delicate aftertaste, complex and very long lasting essence of licorice and aniseed. A delicious and lovely port that is drinking beautifully at the moment. 92/100. 01-Dec-17. Decanted 1 day.
