2010 Quinta do Sagrado LBV

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

From Nova Quinta do Sagrado but bottled under the Quinta do Sagrado label. Bottled in 2015. 2,500-3,000 litres made. Modest rose red colour with a narrow rim, perhaps a little cloudy. Showing little on the nose, some hints of fruit and perhaps of rosemary. Light, dry fruit on the palate but the tannins are refined and nicely ripe. The aftertaste is gentle, fruity and leads to the best feature of this port, the finish. The finish is peppery and lively and fully flavoured. I felt that this port was behind the ruby in terms of quality and enjoyment. 84/100. 06-Nov-17.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
