Tasted at the BA galleries lounge in Heathrow, Terminal 3 (along with a bottle of Graham Six Grapes). Bottled 2017 and no more than 6 days old since it wasn't in the lounge on my previous visit.
A deep mahogany in colour, 50% opaque. An attractive smell of ripe melon and dried tropical fruits. Nicely balanced on the palate, with a sweet honeyed tone offset by some punishing acidity that really focuses the flavours. Lots of caramel and dates on the taste, which combine together very nicely. Lots of gentle pepper heat on the aftertaste and a very long and very nice burnt toffee finish with a great apple acidity freshness. This is a delicious colheita which can be drunk with pleasure. 89/100. 17-Sep-17.
