Tasted at a Blind Emergency on 1st August 2017.
UK bottled by Gilbey Vintners, 1 York Gate, London NW1.
Mature red colour with gentle pigmentation; 30% opaque. A slight medicinal tone shows on the nose, a nose which is sticky, slightly chocolatey and full of bitter juniper berries. A lovely texture in the mouth, light-bodied with gentle fruit and delicate elegance. Light and frgrant in style and surprisingly dry. A wonderful aftertaste, full of sweet red chews and a long, lingering finish that is full of sweet redcurrants before showing some heat and then an interesting dryness. Served blind this was guessed to be Taylor 1963. 88/100. 01-Aug-17.
