1960 Graham

Drunk at the Casa Ribeira Restaurante (where they do an excellent suckling pig).

Bottled by Grants of St James. Brick red with an attractive appearance; 40% opaque. Fresh on the nose with some sweet strawberry jam, a little restrained at first. Nicely balanced on entry, full of strawberry with a fresh acidity keeping the balance well. Poised on its feet with a remarkable lithe elegance. Delicious strawberry aftertaste. A port which is sweet and ripe yet well balanced. 90/100. 22-Jun-17. 5 hours.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
