2011 Sequeirinha LBV

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Bottling date believed to be 2016. An intense nose of concentrated blood oranges and hinting at the Douro bake encountered in the NV Tawny from the same producer, but much less present. Honeyed fruit shows iteself on entry, with soft tannins and a jellied fruit element. The tannins grow but never get out of balance. The aftertaste is fresh with the tannins being nicely chewy and giving a good length to the finish. Not a bad port. 86/100. 24-May-17.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
