2012 Quinta do Pego LBV

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Late Bottled Vintage, bottling date not disclosed on the label; unfiltered. Deep red colour with a narrow rim. A lovely soft redcurrant nose, sweet and ripe. Gentle, elegant and balanced entry full of soft fruit. The balance and elegance lasts right through the palate. A gentle and elegant fruit-led finish precedes a soft but long lasting finish. Very pleasant, a good cellar defender. 86/100. 24-May-17.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
