2013 Bulas

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Inky purple colour, completely opaque. Gentle on the nose bringing soft blueberry fruit and a delicious herbaceousness. Sweet and elegant onto the palate, a mass of sweet fruit on the mid-palate and the tannins kick in with a vengeance. Dry and chewy on the aftertaste before a fabulous ripe black cherry finish. This is a great powerhouse port which has really settled down in the bottle. 91/100. 24-May-17.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
