From Symington Family Estates. Deep brick red in colour, 50% opaque. Lovely nose of baked fruit, rhubarb and cranberries. Fruity on the palate, very sweet; saccharine tones to the mid-palate, pleasant but slightly cloying. Thick aftertaste of burnt sugar and hot rubber bands. Long finish. Drinkable but not very nice. 78/100. Opened 26-Apr-17 as part of a charity Port Tasting I delivered. Decanted 2 days.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
