1983 Offley

1983 Offley Boa Vista
The fourth bottle from a case of six bought from Dreweatt Neate in 2009.

Deep red in colour, looking very youthful. Dark bramble fruit on the nose. The palate is balanced with dusty cocoa tannins merged in with the dark bramble fruit, accompanied by an interesting green leaf component. The green leaf shows strongly on the aftertaste before the sweet bramble and dark chocolate take over for the very long finish. Very fine, very youthful and delicious port. 91/100. Drunk 20-Apr-17. Decanted 3 hours.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
