1977 Taylor

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Deep red colour, looking mature but not elderly, 70% opaque. Hollow nose, slightly dusty and lacking in fruit. Initially a sweet impression on the palate but then comes a hint of TCA. Very flat on the palate. Served blind this was guessed to be Fonseca 1977. Not Rated. Decanted 6½ hours. Drunk 28 September 2017.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

40% opacity, red, slightly cloudy. My note ends here. Guessed to be G77.
