1982 Taylor Terra Feita

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Drunk at the SQVP Night Tasting.

Mature red colour with a wide rose coloured rim; 30% opaque. A lovely nose of warm damson fruit, very delicious. Quite mouthfilling on entry with lots of fruit and a balanced texture. A touch dry on the palate with some gentle tannins late on. Lot of lively rose and gentle cranberry jelly on the aftertaste and a finish with a good lingering length. A touch too dry to be ideal though. Guessed to be Vargellas 1967. 89/100. Drunk 07-Sep-17. Decanted 9 hours.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
