From a half bottle. Burnished orange colour, 30% opaque. Tawny style nose, big and pronounced and full of pistachio paste. Smooth on the palate with lots of honey and lemon; surprisingly dry. Dry ghosts of tannin show on the balanced aftertaste and a long honeyed finish of lovely sour citrus. 93/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
